Lost Forrest is a swim/tennis community ideally located in the heart of East Cobb, near the intersection of Post Oak Tritt Rd. and Johnson Ferry Rd. Our community is made up of 177 homes within four subdivisions: Lost Forrest, The Grove at Lost Forrest, Lost Forrest Place, and The Park at Lost Forrest. We are joined by a single Homeowners’ Association and share common facilities which include four lighted tennis courts, an in-ground pool (upgraded to salt chlorination in 2017), and a clubhouse with a spacious rear patio and playground. We also enjoy a very unique asset as well: the original farmhouse of the Tritt family!
Our Area & Schools
Our area offers a superb mix of high quality residential areas, excellent public schools, convenient shopping centers, restaurants, athletic facilities, medical facilities and businesses. Our community is very fortunate to be served by three of Georgia’s most prestigious schools: Shallowford Falls Elementary School, Hightower Trail Middle School and Pope High School. We encourage you to visit the individual websites of these schools, as well as the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and the Cobb County Government to learn more about this exciting area.
Family-Friendly
Lost Forrest is an active, family-friendly neighborhood. We are home to families with kids of all ages, as well as empty-nesters who love bringing grandchildren to the pool and to our events. Our residents include staff members of our excellent schools as well as parents who actively volunteer at the schools and their associated PTAs, foundations, and athletic teams.
Social Events
We have a Social Committee that plans a variety of events throughout the year – annual examples include the St. Patrick’s Day Party (adults), Easter Egg Hunt, Kids’ Triathlon, Pool Kickoff Party (Memorial Day), Dive-In Movie Night, Back-To-School Meet & Greets, Oktoberfest (adults), Wine Tasting Night (adults), Halloween Party and Kids’ Costume Parade, and Cookies with Santa. Our clubhouse is also available for resident rentals for parties and special events. The summer months often bring impromptu “chillin’ & grillin'” nights to the pool, and fall brings football parties to the clubhouse, as well!
Tennis
Lost Forrest also has an active tennis community, and our four courts were resurfaced during Summer 2020 in accordance with our capital project plan. We have multiple ALTA teams, including a mixed doubles team, two Thursday evening ladies teams, a Tuesday morning ladies team, a Sunday ladies team and many T2 players. Families also enjoy lots of recreational tennis together as well. Our court reservations are handled electronically through our partnership with reservemycourt.com.
Covenants
Our neighborhoods are bound by our covenants and by-laws. Lost Forrest is an architecturally-controlled community; any modifications to the exterior of a home or its landscaping must be consistent with our design standards and approved in advance by our ACC.
Board & Committees
Lost Forrest has an active group of volunteers for our Board of Directors as well as our various committees. The board ensures that Lost Forrest remains fiscally sound and oversees ongoing maintenance and capital projects within our recreation facilities and common areas. Our capital projects are guided by our 20-year Capital Reserve Analysis engineering study, which we update every five years.
